Within the last couple months, and during the beginning of the first quarter that has been increase in options of gaming machines, most notably the Gaming Laptop. With products from Dell, Razor, and ASUS, that goal seems to make an affordable gaming laptop to gamers on the go. What is exciting about this, is that those who are willing or wanting to break into the “PC Master Race” can so within prices that range under an $1000.00. This is great start to a rather price heavy product.
So why is this a big deal? Well, most high performance gaming was only suitable to desktop machines and they only allowed for certain hardware to be built. However, a laptop can be bought online with the customer’s customization through the company’s website. This further allows consumers to purchase something of value, based on their needs, without a large price jump.
The comparison of these types of machines are becoming blurred, as the form factor gets smaller and technology gets better, laptop gaming machines can now compete with their desktop mothers. Per example, Dell’s Inspirion series has been loaded with the newest Kaby Lake processor’s as well as Nvidia’s new line of 10 series graphics cards, the 1050, and the 1050ti. Pulling from their higher tier gaming systems that Dell provides called Alienware, Dell has created a gaming machine great for competitive gaming and for price.
As market conditions change for laptops, so does customer satisfaction, leaving less people with buyer’s remorse, and more of enthusiastic feel for their computers.
“Like that older version, the new Inspiron 15 7000 keeps the starting price down to a very reasonable $799 (£645 or AU$1,100 converted). It goes on sale in the US January 5. ”
“Laptops, even high-quality ones, have become much less expensive over the past few years. But one exception to that rule is gaming laptops, which still cost $1,500 to $2,000 or more for anything decent. ”
